This section exchanges and accumulates interdisciplinary information relevant to geothermal sciences. It also promotes international cooperative work aimed at the development of new techniques in geothermal sciences. By 2022, we had invited 37 researchers from the region shown in the map below, and we are continuing the collaborative research with them as the important partners.
Kyoto University invites applications for a visiting Professor or Associate Professor in volcanology, geothermal sciences and related disciplines. The successful applicant is expected to work at Aso Volcanological Laboratory (Volcano-dynamics Section, Structural volcanology Section) or Beppu Geothermal Research Laboratory (Geothermal fluid science Section, Geothermal Tectonics Section), Kyushu, Japan. Salary and travel expenses are provided from the university.
The position is opened on October 1, 2023, and the tenure is 3 to 6 months by September 30, 2024.
